How do you love yourself when all you can see are the things you hate? Breakfast radio host Heidi Anderson used to call herself ‘fat’, ‘disgusting’ and labels much worse than that.

Heidi was confident in her personality, but hated her body so much she declared it live on air. When she opened up to the world, she found she was not alone.

For two weeks straight, listeners phoned the radio station to share similar stories of self loathing. Heidi helped organise a swim for people to let go of their body image issues and start fresh.


Since then, Heidi has been on a mission to find out how to love herself. The journey has had its ups and downs, including a damaging stint in the ‘Big Brother’ house.

All Heidi wanted was a magic pill to fix her problems, but as she’s found out it takes much more than that.
